SHANE BARRETT

Meet 22 year old Shane Barrett, the dynamic DJ and producer hailing from Long Island, New York who now calls the historic city of Charleston, South Carolina his home for the past several years.  

Shane's journey to prominence in the music industry is a testament to his unwavering dedication and creativity, but what truly sets him apart, is his vision and desire to inspire the masses through the music he plays and creates. 

Shane’s journey from New York to Charleston has been one of growth, learning, and pushing boundaries. And it shows. While attending the College of Charleston, Shane was eager to get a taste of the music industry from wherever he could.

At just 18 years old, Shane was given the opportunity to DJ, learn how to run lights, VJ, and open for some of the most prominent names in house music at one of Charleston’s hottest clubs, “Trio” Located in the heart of downtown Charleston.

While learning the ins and outs of the music industry, Shane has opened for Gorgon City, CID, Dom Dolla, Matroda, Ownboss, KREAM and many more. He also recently landed a coveted support slot on John Summit’s “Experts Only” Caverns weekender festival in Pelham, Tennessee.

Aside from selling out small and large venues in Charleston such as Trio and Music Farm, Shane has also curated his own event called “Surround Sessions,” which allows him to play and showcase his music submersed by an audience and playing his personal favorite, which is… you guessed it, House.  

Shane has undoubtedly taken inspiration from various artists he looks up to such as Hot Since 82, Jansons, Chloe Caillet and Ben Sterling to name a few, and continues to craft a unique sound that’s filled with class, substance, style that is unmistakably his own.

Through constant experimentation and dedication, he continues to evolve.
